About the Founder
Lauren founded Precita after a career across a handful of boutique agencies. She started in executive recruiting at Trewstar Corporate Board Services in NYC. While there, she contributed to placing over 40 women on corporate boards - an accomplishment that would later drive the mission and meaning behind Precita Placements.
After working at Trewstar, she was recruited into SPMB, a boutique firm based in San Francisco, placing executives in VC-backed tech startups.
Lauren launched Precita in 2019, marrying her experiences at Trewstar and SPMB, focused on recruiting diverse and untapped talent in VP and C-level roles. In three years, she and her team built an impressive portfolio of clients including Google Cloud Platform, Sonos, Intuit, Patreon, and Freddie Mac. They are most proud of their track record of client retention, 90% of clients returned for a second or third search.
In 2022, Precita was acquired by ZRG Partners, a private equity backed global talent advisory firm.
In the spring of 2024, Lauren decided to re-launch Precita. She is now more laser-focused than ever on placing exceptional, unexpected, untapped talent. Lauren and her team only take on a handful of clients at a time and they provide a notably high-touch customer experience.
SHANNON MCAULIFFE GLICK | HEAD OF RESEARCH
Shannon has been in lock step with Lauren since Precita launched in 2019. She blends her thorough and in-depth research skills with a creative and magnetic ability to get any candidate on the line. When Shannon is involved in a search, no stone goes unturned.
With a background in public health and health tech, Shannon joined Precita from senior management roles at Wellist and Zocdoc. She has experience working for and with companies of all sizes—from startups to larger organizations and understands the value of “fit” for both the hiring company and the executives she is recruiting.
She holds a BA from Boston College, an MPH from Boston University, and recently completed her doctorate in bioethics from Loyola University Chicago.

Casey Ruiz is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in the search industry. Throughout her career, Casey has excelled in various roles, including serving as a Project Manager and Executive Assistant, with a strong focus on Financial Services, Industrial Practice Services, and Technology sectors.
In addition to her work in the search industry, Casey has accumulated valuable experience at notable firms such as Lazard Asset Management, Shen Milsom & Wilke—specializing in Technology & Acoustical Design Solutions—and CBRE in Commercial Real Estate.
